NorthStar Gaming Holdings announced a major C-suite change, appointing its interim chief executive officer, Corey Goodman, as its permanent CEO. The company said that it reached this decision after Goodman proved his mettle by leading the business through a period of financial and operational stabilization. The company also announced changes to the chief financial officer role and the appointment of a new vice president of compliance. Goodman Becomes CEO on Permanent Basis In its announcement, NorthStar Gaming confirmed Goodman’s appointment as CEO on a permanent basis. Goodman, who was named CEO in December 2025, has since guided the business through a period of financial and operational stabilization and has also worked hard on resolving outstanding audits and reporting matters. Dean MacDonald, chair of NorthStar’s board, commented on the appointment of Goodman as permanent CEO and lauded the man’s incredible contributions to the business. Corey has brought focus and discipline to the Company at a pivotal time, and the Board has full confidence in his leadership as NorthStar completes its outstanding financial reporting and continues to strengthen the business. Dean MacDonald, chair, NorthStar Gaming NorthStar Announced Further Leadership Changes In the meantime, NorthStar also announced that Chin Dhushenthen has resigned as chief financial officer, effective August 17, 2026. However, Dhushenthen has agreed to “remain engaged in an advisory capacity” to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities as the completion of the company’s outstanding audits continues. Dhushenthen has been succeeded on an interim basis by Ben Powell, a CFA charterholder who has been with NorthStar since its inception. According to the announcement, Powell has played a central role in the company’s financing and capital-raising activities. At the same time, Krisztina Kalla has been appointed as vice president of compliance – a role in which she will be responsible for the business’s compliance-related matters. CEO Goodman thanked Dhushenthen for his contributions and was pleased that the outgoing CFO agreed to remain engaged in an advisory capacity. Goodman also welcomed the new appointees on board. Corey Goodman, CEO, NorthStar Gaming NorthStar Expects to Complete Its Audits This Year NorthStar noted that it has also made “other enhancements” to its accounting function to support the completion of its outstanding audits and has engaged a chartered professional accountant as a consultant. NorthStar also provided an update on its ongoing audits related to its financial statements for the fiscal years ended December 31, 2023, 2024, and 2025. According to the announcement, Davidson & Company expects to wrap up the audits later this year.
