The exclusive partnership will also include TD Place activations, high-visibility TV and LED signage throughout the stadium, and social media integrations. ToonieBet Branding Takes Centre Stage “Partnering with an iconic franchise like the Ottawa Redblacks marks an exciting milestone as we continue to expand ToonieBet’s footprint in Canada,” said Madmon. ToonieBet also becomes the official sponsor of the Sideline Club, the field-level seating in the stadium closest to the action. “RNation is known for bringing unmatched energy to TD Place, and this partnership is all about taking that fan experience to the next level,” said Matthew Bennett, vice-president, corporate partnerships of the Ottawa Redblacks. Sideline Club Gains Sponsor “We are excited to collaborate on unique activations that celebrate our fans and the great tradition of Canadian football.” ToonieBet and the Redblacks will host three pre-game street parties on Exhibition Way outside the stadium on game days. That event will include a live DJ, games, and giveaways. The partnership starts this Sunday (Aug. 30) with fan experiences. Street Parties Launch Partnership ToonieBet also has a similar partnership with the CFL’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats, announced on June 22. The Redblacks Monday (Aug. 24) announced the hiring of longtime CFL executive Jim Popp as senior football adviser to try to turn around the on-field product, after the club fired vice-president of football operations Shawn Burke on Sunday (Aug. 23). Team president Adrian Sciarra had stepped down six days earlier. The Redblacks franchise has been around since 2014, while Ottawa has been part of the CFL since the league’s inaugural 1958 season, until 1996 when the Ottawa Rough Riders folded (replaced briefly by the Ottawa Renegades from 2002-2005).
