Kangwon Land Inc holds blood donation drive with Korean Red Cross

South Korean casino resort operator Kangwon Land Inc has organised a fourth blood donation campaign this year, in cooperation with the Gangwon Blood Centre of the Korean Red Cross. The initiative involved employees of Kangwon Land Inc, staff from partner companies, and local residents, according to a recent announcement. It aimed to bolster blood supplies for medical use and encourage voluntary donations within the community. Kangwon Land Inc operates the Kangwon Land casino resort, the only complex in South Korea permitted to serve local players. The blood donation campaign took place at several locations across the company’s resort complex, including its headquarters, Grand Hotel, Mountain Ski House, and Hambaek Welfare Centre. Kangwon Land Inc chief executive, Kim Do-gyun, said in prepared remarks that donating blood was one of the most meaningful ways for the community to help save lives. He added that the company would continue organising regular blood donation campaigns and other community initiatives as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts. The casino firm has been working with the Gangwon Blood Centre on blood donation campaigns since 2004. According to the company, a total of 8,269 people has participated in the initiatives over that period, with 7,689 blood donation certificates awarded.
