Inspire Entertainment Resort, a complex with foreigner-only casino at Incheon in South Korea, plans to expand its “Inspire Dream Academy” corporate social responsibility programme, with regular activities for at least 250 local children and young people annually from 2027. The casino resort said in a recent press release that it was working with Incheon’s Yeongjong-gu to develop the initiative. The programme aims to offer students opportunities to learn about resort operations and explore potential careers. Participants will include children from underprivileged backgrounds in Yeongjong-gu, per the announcement. The planned expansion follows the launch of the first “Dream Academy” programme in July and a further session held in October in partnership with Yeongjong-gu. The latest session involved upper primary school pupils participating in the “Yeongjong-gu Dream Start” programme. Activities covered visits to resort facilities, introductions to different jobs and opportunities to explore different careers. Participants visited operational areas including the backstage facilities at Inspire Arena and the hotel’s front desk. Employees explained their day-to-day work and the responsibilities associated with different roles, according to the release. A mentoring session introduced jobs in hotel operations, food and drinks, and entertainment. Employees shared their work experiences and career paths, and answered questions from the children. Inspire said the initiative draws on its facilities and employees’ expertise to help local students explore different occupations and identify their interests. The resort said it planned to continue offering experiential learning and career exploration activities for young people across Incheon, alongside the regular programme with Yeongjong-gu.
