Vietnam’s Hoiana casino resort eyes a Singapore office for partnerships, regional promotion

The promoter of Vietnam’s Hoiana Resort & Golf casino complex is looking to establish a Singapore office to expand its commercial opportunities within Southeast Asia. That is according to a Friday press release from Hoiana. It was issued following a recent “Meet Hoiana” event in Singapore, said to have gathered “over 100 guests” from the “media, lifestyle, banking, aviation, travel and golf” sectors. Alan Teo (pictured), Hoiana’s chief executive, was cited saying in a press release about the October 20 gathering: “Our long-term vision is to establish Hoiana as one of the region’s leading destinations for entertainment, MICE [meetings incentives, conferences and exhibitions] and leisure, and a must-visit destination in Southeast Asia.” The meeting also revealed there would be 198 beachside villas. The villas are part of a second phase for Hoiana; this new phase would also feature over 1,000 five-star hotel rooms, the property promoter had previously told GGRAsia. The property’s CEO stated at the October 20 event: “We are committed to developing a one-of-a-kind integrated destination on Vietnam’s central coast – one that continues to evolve through exceptional hospitality, distinctive experiences and thoughtfully planned developments.” He added: “Singapore is an important part of this journey, and we look forward to building lasting relationships with its business and travel communities.” The planned Singapore office could help the Vietnam resort complex in building a “closer connection” with travel trade and business partners, and support “sustained market growth” for the property as a holiday destination, per the update. Hoiana has four existing hotels: Hoiana Hotel & Suites; New World Hoiana Beach Resort; New World Hoiana Hotel and Hoiana Residences. The complex’s current offer covers Hoiana Shores Golf Club and other non-gaming amenities, as well as casino gaming facilities.
